BATTLE ROYAL TO DETERMINE A NEW #1 CONTENDER FOR THE PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP –
WINNER: “THE SCIENCE” MARCUS SMITH

For a second week in a row, PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Ronny “Veronica” Metro, had no idea who he would be made to put his title up against. With there being no number one contender, Premier officials made the decision that an over-the-top-rope battle royal would decide Ronny’s opponent for the evening. Nine of PPW’s best and brightest fought tooth and nail to be the last man standing. After six had been eliminated, it came down to just three: “Irish” Andy Anderson, “The Science” Marcus Smith, and former two time PPW Champion, “The Hunk with the Tree Trunks” Chase Gosling. Chase seemed poised to take home the victory, but as he charged toward Andy in the corner to deliver the final blow, Andy was able to lower his body and use Chase’s momentum against him, sending the former champion over the top rope and to the floor. It was then that Ronny, who had been observing from ringside, got on the apron to congratulate Andy on eliminating their former partner, but just as it seemed like he and Andy might finally patch things up between them after weeks of animosity, Ronny shocked Andy and the Premier Planet by pulling Andy over the top rope and to the floor below, leaving Marcus the last man in the ring and also the new number one contender.

GRUDGE MATCH –
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA DEF. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING BY WAY OF COUNT OUT

After suffering a vicious attack during a training session earlier in the week, Chase Gosling was out for revenge when he took on the perpetrator of the attack, Iniestra. At a certain point, the action spilled to the outside. After punishing Iniestra on the floor, Chase began making his way back into the ring to finish the job, but that was when Sem Sei took advantage of the distracted referee, who was in the ring tending to Iniestra, and hit Chase across the spine with the kendo stick that has quickly become Sem and Iniestra’s calling card in recent weeks. This sent Chase crumbling to the floor. Reeling from the shot, Chase was unable to answer the referee’s ten count, leading to Iniestra picking up a victory by way of count out thanks to Sem Sei. Due to the outside interference, however, Premier officials will give Chase another shot at payback when he goes one-on-one with Sem Sei this coming Saturday at #PPW190.

SINGLES MATCH –
“SHREDDIN’” CONNOR CORR DEF. SKYE BLUE BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

In what was perhaps their best match to date, Connor Corr and Skye Blue put on an impressive display of innovative wrestling, but Connor, never one to shy away from using sneaky tactics to score a win, picked up the victory when he pulled the referee in the line of fire as Skye flew off of the top rope to deliver a crossbody, colliding with the referee instead of Connor. This caused the referee to call for the bell and award Connor the victory by way of disqualification. Due to the circumstances surrounding the outcome of the match, however, Skye has challenged Connor to a rematch at #PPW190.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
RONNY “VERONICA” METRO (C) DEF. “THE SCIENCE” MARCUS SMITH BY WAY OF PIN FALL

Thanks to his win in the battle royal earlier in the evening, Marcus Smith suddenly found himself just one step away from the PPW World Championship, but he would first have to go through the crafty and, some say, deranged Ronny Metro. Marcus put up an impressive offense against the champion and, on a few occasions, came within reaching distance of the title, but Ronny proved to be too much for “The Science” and a splash from the top rope ended Marcus’s hopes of bringing the gold home. Ronny, however, wasn’t satisfied with simply retaining his title and initiated an attack on Marcus after the match, seeking to further assert his dominance of PPW, but sometimes the old saying, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend,” rings true and as Ronny put a beating on Marcus, Andy Anderson, out for revenge after Ronny cost him the number one contendership earlier in the night, charged the ring and chased Ronny away. After Ronny made a dash for the locker room, a scene unfolded inside the ring that many in PPW never thought would be seen as Andy helped his long-time rival, Marcus, to his feet and not only raised Marcus’s hand, but hugged it out with “The Science,” squashing their feud that has loomed in PPW for years. However, Andy would not get the last laugh. After Marcus had returned to the locker room, Andy made the mistake of turning his back to the entryway and that was when Ronny returned to deliver a vicious assault on his now former partner. After weeks of speculation, it seems that it is now safe to say that the Premier Planet has witnessed the implosion of the once dominant Dirty Boys Club, but Ronny, now on his own and with no partners to back him up, must go on to PPW #190 to defend his title, again not knowing who his opponent will be, because the number one contender will be decided by way of a 10-man gauntlet and the winner will earn a shot at Ronny and the title the same night!

TAG TEAM MATCH –
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI VS. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE & ANAKIN RULED A NO CONTEST DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE

After pulling a deception on Iniestra and Sem Sei the week prior by disguising themselves as Zero 2 and Zero 3, Matt Vine and Anakin were put into a tag team rematch with “El Mero Mero” and his protege at #PPW189. Never shaky about shying away from trickery and rule-bending, Iniestra and Sem were able to isolate Anakin from his partner for the better part of fifteen minutes, frequently distracting the referee so that Anakin’s tag-ins to Matt Vine would not be seen, allowing them to continue their beatdown on Anakin and sending Matt into a frustrated frenzy on the outside, but when Anakin finally did make the tag, Iniestra and Sem quickly found themselves on the receiving end of the punishment. Just as it seemed like Anakin and Matt might take home the victory, however, Zero 2 and Zero 3 stormed the ring and began attacking both teams, forcing the referee to call for the bell and throw the match out, but what was truly intriguing about this turn of events was the fact that the Zeroes did not come to the ring alone and in their corner, waving the Japanese flag, was “Shreddin’” Connor Corr who has now, apparently, forged some sort of alliance with the Zeroes. Because of the way the match had ended, Premier COO Randy Ricci announced that a triple threat tag team match will take place at #PPW190 between the teams of Anakin & Matt Vine, Iniestra & Sem Sei, and Zero 2 & Zero 3. Which side will prove to be the dominant tandem in PPW and will this new alliance between Connor Corr and the Zeroes help shape things in the Zeroes favor? Come out to Woodstock this Saturday night for PPW’s 190th studio taping to witness all of the action firsthand!
