Full match results from September 3, 2016 #PPW107 taping at Premier Pro Wrestling studios in Woodstock, IL and Post Show Wrap Up with Justin Barlow.
SINGLES MATCH –
INIESTRA DEF. EL LOBO VIA PIN FALL
In the evening’s opening contest, the Premier Planet was treated to a clash between two sensational lucha libre style competitors in El Lobo and Woodstock’s own Iniestra. El Lobo, being the newer competitor, set out to make an impact on the Premier Planet, but the more experienced Iniestra carried the day when he was able to reverse an electric chair setup into a roll-up and score the pin.
SINGLES MATCH –
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON DEF. ZERO 1 VIA PIN FALL
Before this match got underway, Zero 1 paid homage to the late and legendary Mr. Fuji by throwing salt into all four corners of the ring. It was a touching tribute which the Premier Planet appreciated, but when it came time to do business, Zero 1 had his sights firmly on PPW’s resident “guard dog.” All of the martial arts in the world couldn’t save Zero 1, however, and he eventually fell to a crushing Andy-bomb from the second turnbuckle.
SINGLES MATCH –
ULYSSES S. ADAMS DEF. KIM CHEE VIA PIN FALL
At PPW 106, Kim Chee was able to sneak a victory away from the Stars & Stripes clad Adams by hiding his riding crop in his sleeve and using it unbeknownst to the referee, but Adams was granted a rematch at PPW 107. Out to avenge the injustice he had suffered, Adams kept an eagle eye on his opponent throughout the match and was able to successfully score a win for himself, evening the score between them, but Kim Chee wouldn’t go quietly and he attacked Adams as Adams was celebrating his victory in the ring. Premier CEO, Randy Ricci, came to ringside and announced that at PPW 108 the two will clash again to break the tie that now exists between them.
NON-TITLE MATCH –
PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION CHASE GOSLING DEF. “IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON VIA SUBMISSION
Riding higher than ever after a three month long streak of successful title defenses, PPW World Heavyweight Champion Chase Gosling had a night off from defending the gold, but the catch was that his opponent would be the eccentric Andy Anderson. A non-title stipulation didn’t stop Andy from treating the match as if all the marbles were on the line and he brought a vicious fight to Chase who spent the better part of the match on the defensive, but when Chase was able to seize on an opening and lock Andy in the Saturday Night Special in the middle of the ring, Andy had little choice but to submit or risk serious injury and the champ reaffirmed his place atop the Premier mountain.
FIRST-TO-TWO-FALLS #1 CONTENDERSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH –
INIESTRA DEF. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE & RONNY METRO
Seeming to never be able to stay out of each other’s way, Iniestra, Matt Vine, and Ronny Metro were placed in a triple threat number one contendership match with a special first-to-two-falls stipulation. With a coveted title shot hanging in the balance, none of the three men would stay down long enough for another to get a fall on him in the early going, making for a suspenseful and exciting matchup between three of Premier’s top talents. Iniestra would draw first blood when he was able to rid the ring of Ronny and roll Vine up, but it wasn’t long before his lead was voided. With Iniestra incapacitated and Vine on the mat, Ronny took to the air and delivered a crushing splash to score his first fall. It was now up to Vine to play catch-up, but despite being one down, that’s exactly what he did and he was able to roll Ronny up for a pin, now bringing the match into sudden death. After Ronny was sent to the floor, Vine had Iniestra right where he wanted him and set up to deliver a huge suplex to Woodstock’s favorite son which may have sealed the deal for Vine if it hadn’t been for Ronny who, burning after Vine scored a pin on him, grabbed Vine’s leg, causing Vine to lose balance and causing Iniestra to fall on top of him. As the referee counted, Ronny held Vine’s leg, sacrificing the number one contendership for the sake of revenge and allowing Iniestra to walk away with the victory and the title shot. Fuming over how the match had ended, Vine demanded that Ronny meet him in the ring, but knowing that Ronny wouldn’t be one to simply jump into a fight, Premier CEO Randy Ricci announced that, at PPW 108, the two will collide with a title shot on the line.
