SINGLES MATCH –
ULYSSES S. ADAMS DEF. “TEXAS” PETE VIA PIN FALL

“Texas” Pete has been on a roll recently in PPW, but it’s not the kind of roll anyone wants to be on. Since declaring his intentions to chase after the PPW World Heavyweight Championship, Pete as enter somewhat of a losing streak, but he sought to change that as he stepped into the ring with “U.S.A.” Ulysses S. Adams. Unfortunately for Pete, his bad luck only continued as Adams put the finishing touches on the match with a crushing leg drop across Pete’s chest for the 1 – 2 – 3.

SCOTT COLTON ADDRESSES THE PREMIER PLANET –

After a grueling match against his former friend and mentor, “Irish” Andy Anderson, the week prior, “The Human Video Game” and former PPW champion, Scott Colton, came out to address the fans in attendance. With his arm in a sling, Colton announced that during his match with Andy his shoulder had been separated and would require an MRI, putting an immediate halt on the number one contendership triple threat match he was scheduled to have with Ronny Metro and Chase Gosling. Colton would not be allowed to come in, say his piece, and leave, however. Once Colton announced his intentions to reclaim the PPW World Title upon his return, the old thorn in his side, Chase Gosling, emerged and demanded that Premier CEO Randy Ricci award the number one contendership to him instead. Also having a stake in the matter, Ronny “Veronica” Metro appeared and began making demands of his own. Watching via the back monitor, Iniestra and PPW World Heavyweight Champion Matt Vine came out and proposed that the four of them square off in an impromptu tag team match. Adding an additional incentive, Vine also volunteered the stipulation that Scott Colton’s title opportunity be put on the line should Colton agree. Never one to back down from taking a chance and wanting to see Gosling and Metro take a beating as much as the crowd in attendance, Colton did not hesitate in verbally signing on the dotted line and the match was on!

TAG TEAM MATCH –
PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. “THE FIVE TOOL PLAYER” CHASE GOSLING AND RONNY METRO VIA PIN FALL

Much was on the line for both teams as the match got underway, because not only was the number one contendership at stake, but it was that of the injured Scott Colton, putting an added incentive on the match for both teams. Not wanting to cost their friend a title opportunity, Vine and Iniestra went to war with Gosling and Metro who were salivating at the thought of not only gaining a title opportunity, but of adding insult to injury to Scott Colton as well. Their combined talent and portfolios of dirty tricks weren’t enough the put down the opposition, however, and Iniestra seized the day by gaining a pin fall over Gosling, denying him and Metro the dual satisfaction of winning a title opportunity while putting egg on Scott Colton’s face at the same time. The ending was not without controversy though as Gosling berated the referee, insisting that he was not the legal man.

SINGLES MATCH –
“THE FIVE TOOL PLAYER” CHASE GOSLING DEF. ZERO 3 VIA SUBMISSION

Unwilling to accept the outcome of the previous match, Chase Gosling returned to the ring after the intermission, first restating his claims of not being the legal man and then demanding an opponent so that he could prove why he is what he claims to be — the best in PPW. Answering the call was Zero 3. Going into the match, Zero 3 was at a rare advantage given the fact that Gosling had just competed and was fatigued from the previous match and Zero 3 took the opportunity to try and make a name for himself by defeating the former world champion, but Gosling was too angry and fired up to let that happen. With Gosling locking in the Saturday Night Special, Zero 3 found himself in the middle of the ring with nowhere to go and was forced to tap out, earning Gosling a slight measure of redemption.

SINGLES MATCH –
RONNY METRO DEF. EL LOBO VIA PIN FALL

Chase Gosling wasn’t the only one upset by the outcome of the tag team match. Ronny Metro then appeared to, like Gosling, gain some redemption. The task would not be easy, however, as, like Gosling, Metro had already competed and his opponent turned out to be the young luchador from Monterrey, Mexico, El Lobo, who has been turning heads since his debut a few months ago. Smelling the wear on Metro, Lobo utilized more of a ground game than usual in an attempt to further fatigue his opponent, but Metro had too much to lose in terms of moral and he was able to put El Lobo down for a pin fall victory.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE (C) DEF. INIESTRA VIA PIN FALL

Earlier in the evening, Iniestra and Matt Vine had proven their capacity for teamwork by toppling Ronny Metro and Chase Gosling, but now that focus would be turned on each other as the two stepped into the ring to compete for the richest prize in the company, the PPW World Heavyweight Championship. Going into the matchup, Iniestra had already competed for the gold on numerous occasions and each time it seemed that he got a little closer than the time before, so many in the Premier Planet were confident that this would be Iniestra’s night while another portion of the audience stood firm behind the champ. With the fans evenly split, the two duked it out left and right so many times it seemed that the end may be at hand for one or the other, but the tenacity and intestinal fortitude of both men kept their respective fires alive until both were worn with exhaustion. The climax came when both men began trading roll-up pin fall attempts which resulted in many very close calls — 1-2, 1-2, 1-2 — but it was Vine who was finally able to gain just enough momentum to put Iniestra’s shoulders to the mat long enough for the referee to hit the three count, retaining his PPW World Title. While a visibly disappointed Iniestra (who had nothing to be ashamed of as the match had everyone in attendance on the edge of their seats) made his way to the back, Vine celebrated at ringside with “his people.”
