– #1 CONTENDERS MATCH QUALIFIER –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. “TEXAS” PETE VIA PIN FALL
After being blockaded by PPW bi-laws on his quest to regain the PPW World Heavyweight Championship in recent weeks, former champ Matt Vine got a chance to get one step closer when he faced “Texas” Pete, the winner gaining a place in a #1 contenders match to be held at PPW #134. Despite years of experience inside the ring, “Texas” Pete could not stand in Vine’s path for long and Vine sealed his place in this Saturday’s #1 contenders match with a vicious spinebuster.
– #1 CONTENDERS MATCH QUALIFIER –
RONNY METRO DEF. HAMMOND EGGERS VIA PIN FALL
In a match to determine who Matt Vine’s opponent would be at PPW #134, Ronny Metro faced off against a fresh face from the Premier Academy, Florida panhandle native, Hammond Eggers, who put on an impressive showing again the NXT prospect, but Ronny was able to close the deal when he caught Hammond off guard and put him in prime position to deliver the famouser for a pin fall victory and his place as Matt Vine’s opponent in this Saturday’s big #1 contenders match.
– NON-TITLE MATCH –
“U.S.A.” ULYSSES S. ADAMS DEF. PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING VIA PIN FALL
Once again digging into PPW’s bi-laws, Chase Gosling was able to avoid defending his title and instead competed in non-title competition against “Mr. U.S.A.” Ulysses S. Adams. In the heat of battle, it seemed as though, perhaps, Chase underestimated the competition, however, and “U.S.A.” was able to roll the champ up with a crucifix for the 1-2-3, leaving Chase in utter disbelief, but the surprises didn’t end there. Adams then removed his mask to reveal none other than the former champion, Matt Vine, as an irate Chase threw what some might consider a very profound tantrum in the middle of the ring.
– CHASE GOSLING ADDRESSES HIS LOSS –
After being duped and humiliated by Matt Vine, Chase returned to ringside after intermission and proceeded to announce that, during a conversation with his attorney during intermission, he had learned that the PPW bi-laws state that only the individual assigned to the match can claim credit for a win, meaning that, officially, it was Adams who beat Chase and not Vine. He also announced that, due to February being a short month, his obligation to defend the title once a month had been extended for another week, but that he would face the 280lb “Cornfed Colossus” Michael Mack in a non-title match at PPW #134.
– SINGLES MATCH –
“THE CORNFED COLOSSUS” MICHAEL MACK DEF. ZERO 1 VIA PIN FALL
Always in the mood to put the hurt on someone, the big Texan, Michael Mack, made short work of the martial arts master, Zero 1, putting the finishing touch on with a brutal powerslam that could be heard all the way to the Woodstock Square.
– TAG TEAM MATCH –
YA BOYZ (“THE HUMAN VIDEO GAME” SCOTT COLTON & INIESTRA) DEF. THE DIRTY BOYS CLUB (RONNY METRO & “IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON) VIA PIN FALL
With their rivalry beyond a boiling point, Ya Boyz, Scott Colton & Iniestra, teamed up to take on Ronny Metro & “Irish” Andy Anderson, representing the Dirty Boys Club. For most of the match, the D.B.C. lived up to their name, using numerous underhanded tactics to separate and ground the smaller but quicker Colton & Iniestra, but the hearts of Ya Boyz kept beating. Seeing his partners struggling to close the deal, PPW Champion Chase Gosling crept down to ringside and, as Iniestra was setting up to fly, Chase pulled down on the top rope, causing Iniestra to spill to the outside while his partner, Scott Colton, was left to contend with Ronny and Andy on the other side of the ring. It seemed this may be the catalyst to Ya Boyz’ downfall, but with their last gasp the two were able to create separation between their opponents and, thanks to a dropkick from Colton, Iniestra was able to roll Andy up for the pin.
