– SINGLES MATCH –
RONNY METRO VS. “THE HUMAN VIDEO GAME” SCOTT COLTON THROWN OUT DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE

Before their big six man tag team main event, “VeRonica” Metro and Scott Colton got the opportunity to tangle in the evening’s opening contest. With both hoping to pick up a moral victory for his team, the two bitter rivals pulled out all the stops and the result was an incredible one-on-one match between two of PPW’s top standouts. Much to the dismay of the Premier Planet, who were enjoying the exhibition, the match was ruled a double disqualification when Ronny’s Dirty Boys Club comrade, Andy Anderson, joined the fray, but hot on his heels was the former PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Vine, which sent Andy and Ronny heading for the hills.

– SINGLES MATCH –
ZERO 2 DEF. HAMMOND EGGERT VIA PIN FALL

The following matchup was the first in a series of “student showcase” matches, featuring a crop of the Premier Academy’s most recent standouts. First up was Hammond Eggert who was given crafty martial arts master, Zero 2 who was able to sneak in with a backslide to pin the rookie. However, that didn’t stop the Premier Planet from giving Hammond a well deserved ovation for his efforts.

– NON-TITLE MATCH –
PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING DEF. JAMIE FROM THE BLOCK VIA PIN FALL

Thinking he was about to have it easy, PPW Champion, Chase Gosling, was all confidence as he entered the Premier Studio, but his opponent, Jamie from the Block, had a few surprises in store for “The Hunk with the Tree Trunks.” Seizing the advantage on several occasions, Jamie was able to give the champ more of a fight than he was expecting and Chase, on a few occasions, appeared frustrated by the fact that no matter what he threw at Jamie, he couldn’t keep him down until Jamie picked Chase up for what seemed to be a bodyslam attempt, but Chase was able to use his size advantage to counter, landing on top of the newcomer and using the bottom rope for added leverage while the referee was counting Jamie’s shoulders down. Again though, the Premier Planet gave the rookie a well deserved send off as he made his way to the back.

– SINGLES MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. JOHNNY CERVEZA VIA PIN FALL

The showcase continued with the next match which featured former PPW World Heavyweight Champion, “The World Exclusive” Matt Vine taking on another one of the PPW Academy’s current class of standouts, Johnny Cerveza. Despite several impressive displays of offense from Johnny, Vine was able to get behind him, send him into the ropes, and roll him up for the three count. Despite being the victor, however, Vine showed a commendable amount of sportsmanship and insisted that his music be cut and Johnny’s be played as Vine raised his opponent’s hand in the middle of the ring in a show of respect.

– SINGLES MATCH –
“TEXAS” PETE DEF. RANGER RAY VIA PIN FALL

Our final showcase match of the evening featured one of PPW’s longest standing veteran’s, “Texas” Pete, taking on the new, but fired up, Ranger Ray. Despite a significant difference in experience, Ranger Ray gave Pete a serious run for his money until Pete, seizing on an opening, was able to roll Ray up for the pin. As with the previous showcase matches, however, the Premier Planet showed their respect for Ray’s effort.

– 6 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH –
YA BOYZ & “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. THE DIRTY BOYS CLUB VIA PIN FALL

As announced earlier in the week, the hotly anticipated showdown between The Dirty Boys Club, Ya Boyz, and Matt Vine carried added incentive as the man who scored the victory for his team would be crowned the new number one contender for Chase Gosling’s PPW World Heavyweight Championship. Mixed with an enormous amount of pride on the line, the match was an intense confrontation that kept every member of the Premier Planet in attendance on the edge of their seat from the very first bell. The Dirty Boys did not deviate from their usual playbook and utilized frequent distractions of the referee to isolate and use double and triple teams to wear down individual members of the other team, but the fire burning inside Colton, Iniestra, and Vine kept flickering through it all and it wasn’t long before the frustration began eating at the D.B.C., causing them to let their guard down. Now with the edge, Ya Boyz and Vine brought the fight to the D.B.C., but as all six men were in the ring, the referee lost track of who the two legal men were. When Vine, Colton, and Iniestra rolled all three of their opponents up for a triple pin, they were declared the winners, but due to the confusion, the number one contendership remains undecided. While PPW officials work to sort out the situation, stay tuned to our social media outlets for updates as they develop.
