– 2-OUT-OF-3-FALLS TAG TEAM MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE & JAMIE GARZA DEF. ZERO 1 & ZERO 2 BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Issuing the challenge after the Zeroes jumped them from behind at PPW #158, Matt Vine & Jamie Garza wanted revenge and an opportunity to embarrass the Zeroes a little extra by beating them not just once, but twice in the same match. Thanks to some sneaky tactics, Zero 2 was able to score the first fall for his team by rolling up Jamie and grabbing a handful of Jamie’s trunks, unseen by the official, but Jamie answered with a sunset flip to tie the score. With the last fall up for grabs, chaos spilled into the ring as all four participants entered the ring. It was then that Matt and Jamie rolled both Zeroes up for a double pin and picked up the third and final fall for the win.
– SINGLES MATCH –
FIXIE CARTER VS. SKYE BLUE ENDS IN A TIME LIMIT DRAW
When Skye Blue served as the special guest referee in Fixie’s debut match against Andy Anderson at PPW #158, Fixie placed the blame squarely on her when he took a loss. The resulting confrontation escalated to the point where both were demanding a match with the other which, after heavy contemplation, Randy Ricci granted for PPW #159. Stating that it’s 2017 and a woman should be able to wrestle a man on even terms, Skye was determined to get payback on Fixie for the disrespect he showed to her the week prior and Fixie was determined to right what he felt was an injustice, perpetrated by Skye. Still not keen on a woman wrestling a man, Randy Ricci signed off on the match, but under the condition that the match be a straightforward wrestling match, meaning no strikes allowed. With the stipulation and a ten minute time limit in place, Fixie and Skye showcased the technical wrestling skills they had developed in the Premier Academy. On two separate occasions, Skye’s situation became dire when Fixie was able to apply an armbar in the middle of the ring, but Skye refused to give in. Eventually, Skye was able to break free and both exchanged several pin attempts, but as this was going on the clock ticked down and the time limit expired, leaving no winner and no resolution to the escalating conflict between the two. Unsatisfied with the outcome, Fixie proceeded to lay out the challenge to Skye for a rematch and, after some derogatory remarks from Fixie, Skye was game. Randy Ricci informed both that there would be a rematch, but not until next week. He did, however, announce that, since ten minutes couldn’t contain the two, they will have fifteen minutes the next time they meet!
– ELIMINATION GAUNTLET FOR THE PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP –
INIESTRA DEF. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE IN THE FINAL ROUND TO BECOME THE NEW PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION
With the championship held up to to controversy at PPW #158, a special match was scheduled to crown a new champion. With the top names in PPW now on a level playing field, the title was anyone’s to take. Before the match, the participants drew numbers at random to determine the order of entry. The unlucky draws of numbers one and two went to Jamie Garza and Zero 3. The order of entrants and eliminations went as follows:
- Jamie Garza def. Zero 3 by way of pin fall
- Andy Anderson def. Jamie Garza by way of submission
- Scott Colton def. Andy Anderson by way of pin fall
- Ronny “Veronica” Metro def. Scott Colton by way of pin fall
- Iniestra def. Ronny “Veronica” Metro by way of pin fall
- Iniestra def. Chase Gosling by way of pin fall
With Iniestra having bested two other competitors, he found himself in the final round and within striking distance of the title he so nearly had his hands on at PPW #158, but his momentum would face a daunting challenge as his final opponent was revealed to be former PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Vine. One could almost feel the Premier Planet hold their breath in anticipation as the final round commenced. After an impressive display from both competitors, with both continually dashing the hopes of the other with near fall after near fall, Iniestra caught Matt off guard and rolled him up with enough leverage to keep Matt’s shoulders down long enough to seize the final fall, making Iniestra your new PPW World Heavyweight Champion! The celebration was momentarily spoiled, however, when Ronny Metro and Chase Gosling attacked Iniestra and Matt from behind, but as a united front, Iniestra and Matt were able to chase off the Dirty Boys and it was then that Randy Ricci announced that, at PPW #160, there will be a tag team match featuring Ronny Metro and Chase Gosling taking on the team of Matt Vine and the new PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Iniestra!
