– SINGLES MATCH –
ZERO 1 DEF. ANAKIN BY WAY OF PIN FALL
After making his PPW debut one week ago, the Premier Academy standout known only as Anakin got another chance to showcase his in-ring skills when he took on the tricky and much more experienced Zero 1, accompanied by Zero 2. Despite an impressive offensive flurry from the newcomer, the Zeroes employed their notorious switch tactic behind the referee’s back and were able to wear Anakin down enough to take a pin fall victory from the rookie.
– SINGLES MATCH –
SKYE BLUE DEF. “SHREDDING” CONNOR CORR BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Now being one win ahead of Skye Blue, Connor Corr was certain of his chances in their return match, this time with a twenty minute time limit on the clock. Throughout the match, Connor pushed the rules to their breaking point in an effort to pick up another win over Skye, but despite being at a size disadvantage, Skye was able to reverse an attempted superplex from the top rope and deliver a suplex of her own, from which she was able to roll Connor up for the win. Now tied at one win a piece, Premier COO, Randy Ricci, announced a tie breaker to take place at PPW #162 on September 23rd.
– SINGLES MATCH –
“MR. PYT” D’ANGELO STEELE DEF. ZERO 2 BY WAY OF PIN FALL
If it worked once, it’s bound to work again, right? That seems to be what Zero 1 and Zero 2 thought when Zero 2 came to the ring for his match, but the two grossly underestimated the competition, “Mr. P.Y.T.” D’Angelo Steele. For a time, the Zeroes’ switch tactic paid off, but an attempt to hold Steele’s tights forced the referee to break off a pin attempt from Zero 2, leading to Zero 2 arguing with the referee which allowed D’Angelo to capitalize and roll Zero 2 up with a schoolboy for the pin. Afterward, however, the Zeroes attempted to gain a measure of revenge when they attacked D’Angelo in the ring, but the attack was broken off by Premier Academy standout, Anakin, who had fallen victim to the Zeroes’ tricks earlier in the evening. Once the Zeroes had been chased out of the ring, Randy Ricci announced a tag team match for PPW #162, pitting the Zeroes against the team of D’Angelo Steele and Anakin.
– NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. RONNY “VERONICA” METRO BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Bitter doesn’t begin to describe the feud between Matt Vine and Ronny Metro. Now, with a shot at the PPW Champion on the line, tensions seemed higher than ever. Like two gladiators fighting for their lives in the Roman Coliseum, the two battled for almost half an hour until Matt hit one of his trademark pendulums on Ronny, stunning him long enough for Matt to cover him and pick up the 1-2-3, making him the new number one contender to the PPW Championship.
– SINGLES MATCH –
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON DEF. MARCUS “THE SCIENCE” SMITH BY WAY OF PIN FALL
When it was announced earlier in the week that Marcus Smith would be back in town for PPW #161, his old rival, Andy Anderson, jumped at the opportunity to get his hands on “Marcus the Carcass.” Disdain was the fuel for this in-ring fire as the two traded offense until Marcus found himself arguing with the referee over a call which allowed Andy to roll Marcus up and, thanks to having his feet on the second rope where the referee couldn’t see, picked up a pin fall victory over his old rival.
– PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA (C) DEF. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Finally at the top of PPW as champion, Iniestra set his sights on his first challenger, none other than bitter rival, Chase Gosling. In a complete contrast of styles, Chase’s size and strength were put up against “El Mero Mero’s” speed and agility. The match took place in and out of the ring, leading to a near double count out before order was finally restored. After trading offense many times over, Chase attempted what appeared to be a powerbomb, but Iniestra reversed it into a hurricarana from which he was able to hook Chase’s leg and take the pin, successfully defending his title in his first title defense.
