– SINGLES MATCH –
ZERO 2 VS. SEM SEI GOES TO A TIME LIMIT DRAW

The evening’s opening contest saw the debut of a new face fresh out of the Premier Academy, Sem Sei, who went toe-to-toe with a very crafty opponent in Zero 2. To the surprise of many who thought Zero 2’s experience and tendency to take shortcuts would make short work of the newcomer, Sem held on and refused to surrender, even unleashing some surprising offense of his own that threw Zero 2 off his game. With neither competitor able to put his opponent away, the clocked ticked away until the time limit expired, leaving both men disappointed, but proving the grit and determination of Sem Sei to make a name for himself in PPW.

– SINGLES MATCH –
INIESTRA DEF. ANAKIN BY WAY OF PIN FALL

Earlier in the week, Iniestra issued an open challenge to anyone in the PPW locker room. With his stock rising in PPW, Premier Academy standout, Anakin, answered the call. With an ever increasing vicious streak, Iniestra showed no mercy, but Anakin answered with a flurry of offense that incensed Iniestra and left him open to several surprise pin attempts and near falls. Knowing that his chances were growing slimmer as the match wore on, Iniestra decided to leave nothing to chance and, out of the referee’s view, was able to get his feet on the ropes for added leverage as he covered Anakin, leading to a three count and tainted victory for “El Mero Mero.” However, after polling the audience, Premier COO Randy Ricci decided on the spot that Anakin was deserving of a rematch and the two will meet again at PPW171.

– NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH –
RONNY “VERONICA” METRO DEF. “IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

In a case of strange bedfellows, Ronny “Veronica” Metro and “Irish” Andy Anderson found themselves in a match against one another with the number one contendership to the PPW World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Despite their well known bond, the two showed no apprehension as they fought tooth and nail to become next in line for a coveted title shot. At one point in the match, Andy went to the mat clutching his right knee, drawing the concern of Ronny who, after checking on his companion, helped Andy to his feet only to be thanked with a knee to the ribs — the same knee Andy supposedly injured. Now having the advantage, Andy set to work softening up Ronny’s left knee and taking away his vertical base. Because of these tactics, however, the Premier Planet, in a bizarre twist, began throwing their support behind Ronny who seemed to feed off of their motivation. Frustrated, Andy decided to test the referee’s patience. With Ronny on the mat, Andy executed a low blow, but calling the referee’s bluff proved to be an unwise decision as the referee called for the bell and awarded the match and the number one contender’s seat to Ronny by way of disqualification.

– SINGLES MATCH –
SKYE BLUE DEF. “SHREDDING” CONNOR CORR BY WAY OF PIN FALL

After making several unflattering remarks about his opponent’s hygiene earlier in the week, Connor Corr found himself on the wrong end of a very motivated Skye Blue who wanted to shut the shredder up once and for all. Perhaps distracted by the fact that, before the match, an unidentified perpetrator had cut his guitar strap, Connor let his guard down once too often and allowed Skye to hook his arms and pin him with a backslide. Connor was not about to let a girl force feed him his own words, however, and executed a sneak attack on Skye after the match, tossing her out of the ring and leaving with a sense of pride about himself.

– PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
“THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING VS. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE (C) THROWN OUT DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE

Despite a rekindled mutual respect for one another, the evening’s main event was all about gold for champion and challenger as three time champion, Matt Vine, defended his title against former two time champion Chase Gosling. Being so closely matched in strength and power, the two battled back and forth for over thirty minutes in a clash that can only be described as heart-stopping until the match was spoiled by the appearance of Andy Anderson and Ronny Metro who stormed the ring, initiated a beatdown on Chase and Matt, forcing the referee to throw the match out. Due to his actions both in the number one contenders match and the main event, Andy Anderson has been suspended for one week, meaning that Ronny will now be forced to rely only on himself when he faces Matt Vine for the PPW World Championship at PPW171.
