– TAG TEAM MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE & ANAKIN DEF. INIESTRA & SEM SEI BY WAY OF PIN FALL
As he was nearly being put out of action at the hands of Iniestra and his former friend, Sem Sei, one week ago, Anakin was saved by then PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Vine, who issued the challenge to Iniestra and Sem for a tag team match. The name of the game quickly became “keep Matt Vine out of the match” as Iniestra and Sem did everything they could to isolate Anakin from his partner, but their defenses couldn’t hold forever and, eventually, Anakin was able to tag in the former three time champion which evened the odds and lead to Matt executing a pin on Iniestra for the win.
– SINGLES MATCH –
“SHREDDING” CONNOR CORR DEF. SKYE BLUE BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Thanks to some sneakery, Connor Corr was able to pick up a pin fall victory over Skye Blue, but Skye would not let the injustice stand and delivered a dropkick to Connor as he celebrated in the ring. However, instead of heading to the locker room to lick his wounds, Connor waited for Skye to turn her back at which point he attacked her from behind which lasted until Anakin and Matt Vine ran in for the save and helped Skye to her feet.
– NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. INIESTRA BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION
Now without the PPW World Heavyweight Championship around his waist after a record setting three time reign, Matt Vine would need to earn an opportunity to reclaim the title, but in his way was an equally ambitious Iniestra. After a grueling battle, Matt seemed poised to deliver the final blow to Iniestra, but Sem Sei ran into the ring to break things up, leading to the referee calling for the bell. Perhaps returning the favor, Anakin then came to the ring to even the odds as Matt had done for him the week prior and together they cleared the ring of Iniestra and Sem Sei, but the pair were not in the clear yet. Shockingly, Connor Corr crept into the ring behind Anakin and Matt and used his guitar to deliver some painful shots to the two, sending them from the ring, but as Connor played a premature victory solo, Skye Blue entered the fray and chased Connor from the ring. With a conundrum on his hands, Premier COO, Randy Ricci, announced that next week there will be a six person tag team match pitting Iniestra, Sem, and Connor against Skye, Anakin, and Matt. In regard to the number one contendership, Matt Vine was declared the winner of the match, but because a contender cannot he decided under disqualification circumstances, he does not advance to a World Championship match.
– PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
RONNY “VERONICA” METRO (C) VS. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING RULED A DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION
2018 kicked off in a big way when Ronny “Veronica” Metro dethroned Matt Vine to become the new PPW World Heavyweight Champion. On the same night, however, Ronny’s former partner in the Dirty Boys Club, the self-proclaimed “original dirty boy,” Chase Gosling, defeated Iniestra to become the new number one contender, setting up an explosive clash in the main event of #PPW178. The rivalry between the two has been heated ever since Ronny and Andy Anderson exiled Chase from the Dirty Boys Club and now, with the gold on the line, the match was a proverbial powder keg that saw Chase come within inches of becoming a three time PPW Champion until the referee was inadvertently hit not once, but twice, leading to the match being ruled a double disqualification which means that Ronny Metro is still PPW World Heavyweight Champion, but due to there being no legitimate number one contender, it was announced that Chase will receive another shot at Ronny and the title at #PPW179.
