SINGLES MATCH –
“SHREDDIN’” CONNOR CORR DEF. SKYE BLUE BY WAY OF COUNT OUT

Seeking revenge for being the one pinned in last Saturday’s six person tag team match, Connor Corr challenged the person who pinned him, Skye Blue, to a one-on-one match at #PPW180. With some unique offense, Skye controlled the pace of the match and came within inches of picking up another victory over Connor, but as she and Connor criss-crossed the ropes, Connor pulled the top rope down, causing Skye to tumble to the outside. Unable to answer the ten count, Skye was counted out, but Connor wasn’t satisfied enough and pushed Skye back into the ring, indicating that he was on a mission to do further damage. That was when Chase Gosling made the save, chasing Connor out of the ring. Chase then asked for a mic and issued a challenge, stating that if Skye can beat Connor one-on-one at #PPW181, Chase will get Connor in the ring for ten minutes.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS MATCH –
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA DEF. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE BY WAY OF PIN FALL

All of the marbles were on the line when two former champions collided to see who would be next in line for a title opportunity. In an intense, fast-paced matchup that saw both competitors take numerous risks which put their bodies and potentially their careers on the line, Iniestra was able to steal a victory over Matt Vine, when Iniestra caught Matt in a backslide and, out of the referee’s vantage point, put his feet on the ropes for added leverage. Iniestra is now guaranteed a title match while a visibly disappointed Matt Vine was sent packing back to the locker room to calculate his next steps.

NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS QUALIFYING MATCH –
ANAKIN DEF. SEM SEI BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

Good friends turned bitter enemies clashed when two of the Premier Academy’s top training standouts, Anakin and Sem Sei, competed for a chance to be entered into a number one contenders match. The bad blood has been increasing by the week between the two and, with a potential title shot at stake, no quarter was given. In the heat of the battle, Anakin and Sem inadvertently ran into the referee not once, but twice. While the referee was down, Sem’s new mentor, as it seems, Iniestra, interfered in the match, forcing the match to be initially thrown out, but after considering the circumstances, the ref changed the decision and awarded the match to Anakin by way of disqualification. Unfortunately however, a competitor can only advance to a number one contenders match by way of pin fall or submission, but Premier COO, Randy Ricci, announced that, because of the circumstances, the two would both receive a number one contenders match, but on one very important condition. Their match will not be one-on-one. Instead, it will be a triple threat match where the odds of winning are only 33% and the third man will be none other than the only three time champion in PPW history, “The World Exclusive” Matt Vine.

SINGLES MATCH –
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON DEF. LA TARANTULA BY WAY OF PIN FALL

When it comes to the world of professional wrestling, to quote Jack Nicholson in “The Departed,” “No one gives it to you. You have to take it.” With an immense amount of intestinal fortitude, that is precisely what PPW newcomer, La Tarantula, did when he challenged the man he lost to in his debut match at #PPW179, fifteen year industry veteran, Andy Anderson. Not having been assigned a match for the evening, La Tarantula made an unscheduled appearance and, through Justin Barlow, announced that he wanted a rematch against Andy on the spot. Flabbergasted that a rookie should dare to call him out, Andy accepted with the mission of teaching Tarantula a lesson. To the surprise of both Andy and those in attendance, La Tarantula unleashed an arsenal of offense against Andy, but Andy’s experience combined with his willingness to bend the rules proved to be too much for Tarantula and, just like the week prior, he fell victim to an Andybomb out of the corner which sealed his fate.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH –
RONNY “VERONICA” METRO (C) DEF. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING BY WAY OF PIN FALL

With Ronny Metro unable to defeat Chase Gosling over two straight weeks of competition — the first match being ruled a double disqualification and the second being awarded to Chase by way of count out — many thought that #PPW180 would be the night that Chase would tie the standing record by becoming a three time champion, but now there was an X factor in place in the form of Andy Anderson who, having an active managerial license, stood in Ronny’s corner and he would play perhaps the most important role in the outcome when, after Chase and Ronny engaged in a wrestling war, he held Chase’s foot from the outside while Ronny had Chase covered, allowing Ronny to pick up the win and retain the title, but Chase was not about to let the two get away with such robbery and, now having no competition for #PPW181 besides a potential ten minute encounter with Connor Corr, challenged Andy to a match and made the promise that he would get his revenge on Andy for costing him the PPW World Heavyweight Championship.
