SINGLES MATCH
SKYE BLUE DEF. ZERO 3 BY WAY OF PIN FALL
Per the conditions of Skye Blue’s victory last week, she was finally ready to get her hands on arch nemesis, “Connest” Connor Corr. However, Connor arrived not dressed to wrestle and, by the look of it, suffering from a rather painful injury which, according to him, was the result of him straining his “coglione” during an unfortunately, to quote Connor, “lovemaking” accident. In his place, however, Connor offered up Zero 3 as a substitute to face Skye. While disappointed she wouldn’t be able to teach Connor a thing or two in the ring, Skye did not hesitate in taking her frustrations out on Zero who, despite delivering a furious offense of his own, dropped his guard which enabled Skye to roll him back into a pinning predicament from which he could not escape, so while Skye wasn’t able to exact a measure of revenge on Connor, it seems that she is sending a loud and clear message to the “Connest” one.
PREMIER ACADEMY SHOWCASE
ANAKIN DEF. JOSE ACOSTA BY WAY OF PIN FALL
With their last match having gone to a thirty minute time limit draw, Premier Academy standouts, Jose Acosta and Anakin, were given another chance to prove themselves against each other at #PPW215, this time with an extra ten minutes at their disposal and the match would see both make full use of it. From the opening bell, the two young standouts displayed thoroughly impressive mat an arial technique as both did everything they can to try and best the other man, but as the time wore on, victory continually evaded both competitors, bringing them both into a state of frustration which saw tempers flare and the mutual respect they share put in jeopardy. However, both men were able to refocus themselves, show sportsmanship, and continue the contest until the clock ticked down to the very last minute. Throwing everything they had at each other in the final moments, Anakin managed to catch Jose in a pinning predicament and, at literally the last second, Anakin clinched the three count and earned the victory. After the match, both shared a display of mutual respect in the ring as the Premier Planet gave both competitors a well deserved standing ovation for a match that was most certainly a sight to behold and a testament to the education both have received in their time at the Premier Academy.
TAG TEAM MATCH (W/ SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE SKYE BLUE)
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON & “NOT BAD” CHAD DEF. ZERO 2 & KIM CHEE BY WAY OF PIN FALL
When the action returned after the evening’s intermission, a huge announcement was made regarding our upcoming studio taping on Saturday night, September 8th. Six teams will compete in a tournament. However, this tournament will be about far more than bragging rights, because the prize at the end of the tournament will be the crowning of new Premier Pro Wrestling World Tag Team Champions!
With such an enormous announcement made, one of the teams scheduled to compete in the tournament, Andy Anderson and “Not Bad” Chad, knew the stakes had now gone up in their match, because a victory would mean a full head of steam going into the tournament. However, they would first have to get through the notorious rule-bending duo of Kim Chee and Zero 2. However, even with all of their rule-bending, Kim Chee and Zero 2 were no match for Andy and Chad. Despite being beaten down by the opposition, Chad was finally able to tag Andy into the match, at which point Andy delivered a beating of his own, culminating in an Andybomb to Zero, an Andybomb to Kim Chee, and, for good measure, another Andybomb to Zero, leading to Andy picking up a pin fall victory for himself and Chad as the tow now boogie their way into the Tag Team Championship tournament next week.
TAG TEAM MATCH (W/ SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE SKYE BLUE)
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI DEF. “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE & PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION
Left fuming at the interference of Iniestra and Sem Sei which saw their PPW World Heavyweight Championship match last week thrown out, former champion, Matt Vine, and current champion, Chase Gosling, decided to “get the band back together” so to speak and teamed up for the first time in two years. Many in the Premier Planet wondered if, after a long time of not teaming up coupled with their current feud over the PPW Championship, Matt and Chase could coexist and teach a valuable lesson to their opponents, but the team formerly known as “The Axis of Ego” silenced the critics by proving that, despite two years apart, they hadn’t lost a step as a team. Sensing that they may have bitten off more than they could chew, Iniestra and Sem resorted to alternative tactics. As guest referee, Skye Blue, was distracted, Sem brought a kendo stick into the ring, but failed in delivering a blow to Chase in the corner. With an irate Chase closing in on him, Sem stealthily tossed the kendo stick to Iniestra who was standing behind Chase at which point Iniestra delivered a blow across Chase’s spine, but as Chase started to quickly recuperate, Iniestra and Sem knew that the man holding the kendo stick would immediately have a target on him. As they two tossed the stick back and forth, the lightbulb went on in the minds of both and instead tossed the stick to Chase while they both fell to the canvas, acting as if they had been hit. That was when Skye Blue turned around and saw the kendo stick in Chase’s hands. Being tasked with calling things as she saw them, Skye had no choice but to call for the bell and award the match to Iniestra and Sem Sei as a result of a disqualification.
Don’t forget, Premier Planet, the PPW World Tag Team Championship tournament takes place this coming Saturday night, September 8th.
The teams announced for the tournament are as follows:
- Zero 1 & Zero 2
- “Irish” Andy Anderson & “Not Bad” Chad
- Jose Acosta & Anakin
- Sem Sei & “El Mero Mero” Iniestra
- “The World Exclusive” Matt Vine & PPW World Heavyweight Champion “The Hunk with the Tree Trunks” Chase Gosling
Five teams from the PPW roster are set to compete in the tournament, but team number six will truly be the X-factor this Saturday night. Having gotten wind of the tournament, two outsiders have been granted a place in the bracket. Having not been seen in PPW since falling just short of winning the PPW World Heavyweight Championship at #PPW200 back in June, “The Prince of Pro Wrestling” TJ Steel returns to Premier Pro Wrestling, but he is not coming alone, teaming up with Steel will be none other than the 6’5” 270lb. monster from Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, Jay Bradley! Will this combo be enough to seize the gold or will the combined fourteen title reigns of Matt Vine and Chase Gosling win the day or will an underdog team defy the odds to seize victory? Come out to Woodstock, IL this Saturday night as we crown new PPW Tag Team Champions!
