SINGLES MATCH
ANAKIN DEF. NIKOLAI ZHUKOV BY WAY OF PIN FALL

In the opening contest, the new number one contender to the PPW World Heavyweight Championship, Anakin, went one-on-one with the Soviet sympathizer, Nikolai Zhukov. Despite having a distinct size advantage, Zhukov was unable to overcome Anakin’s speed and drive and Anakin was able to put the big man away with a sliced bread maneuver to pick up a pin fall victory on his way to the main event to challenge for the PPW World Heavyweight Championship.

SINGLES MATCH
“THE BONE DAWG” BRYCE AKERS DEF. SEM SEI BY WAY OF PIN FALL

Before locking horns in a non-title tag team match later in the evening, three of the four participants would compete in singles matches enroute. First up was one half of the reigning PPW World Tag Team Champions, Sem Sei, who went one-on-one against one of PPW’s fastest rising young stars, “The Bone Dawg” Bryce Akers. Sem may have underestimated his opponent going into the contest, because he was left in disbelief when a superplex from the top rope backfired and Bryce was able to lock his legs around Sem’s and roll him into a pin. However, as Bryce celebrated his victory over one half of the Tag Team Champions, “The Science” Marcus Smith attacked him from behind, looking to make a statement against the young upstart. Because of Marcus’s actions, a match has been signed between the two for this coming Saturday night at #PPW234. “The Science” will go one-on-one with “The Bone Dawg.”

SINGLES MATCH
NOT BAD CHAD DEF. “CONNEST” CONNOR CORR BY WAY OF PIN FALL

Bringing some dance moves of his own to the ring, the self-proclaimed feminist and sportsman, Connor Corr, took on party hearty Not Bad Chad in singles action. The eccentricities of both competitors were on full display throughout the match and Connor was nearly able to steal a victory over Chad by using the ropes for added leverage during a pin attempt, but Chad was able to escape and, giving Connor a dose of his own medicine, utilized the ropes while pinning Connor, enabling him to seize the victory, much to the delight of the Premier Planet who, after Connor spent much of his time during the match insulting them, were more than happy to see his own tactics successfully used against him.

BEST OF SEVEN SERIES: MATCH #5
SKYE BLUE (1-3) DEF. ZERO 1 (3-1) BY WAY OF PIN FALL

With more on the line than just pride now, Skye Blue and Zero 1 resumed their best of seven series after a brief hiatus. Skye Blue had vengeance on her mind due to Cali Young’s interference several weeks prior which cost Skye a win in the series, but Zero also had Cali on his mind, because Cali had promised him that, if he can defeat Skye and win the series, his reward will be a date with her. With Zero 1 only needing one more win to achieve total victory, Skye Blue found herself in a do-or-die situation, but Skye showed that she will not be taken down without a fight and successfully executed a sunset flip over the top rope to pin Zero 1 and earn another victory in the series, but now having only two wins to Zero 1’s three wins, Skye must win the next two matches if she hopes to win the series and a match against Cali Young.

SINGLES MATCH
“THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING DEF. JOSE ACOSTA BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

Before competing in the non-title tag team match scheduled for the evening, for three-time PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Chase Gosling, took on the Tag Team Champions’ associate, Jose Acosta, but as Chase was about to make an example of Jose, Iniestra and Sem Sei appeared at ringside. Chase did not overlook the presence of his two upcoming opponents and used Jose as a projectile to get in a pre-match strike, but this drove Iniestra and Sem to interfere in the match and, together with Jose, they began to beat Chase down until being chased off by Chase’s tag team partner, the 310 pound Wolfman Huck. With payback now on his mind, Chase demanded that his and Huck’s tag team match against the Tag Team Champions begin immediately and his demands were granted.

NON-TITLE TAG TEAM MATCH
“THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING & WOLFMAN HUCK DEF. PPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS “EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

Outsized and out-powered by their opponents, Iniestra and Sem Sei did not have optimistic odds going into their non-title tag team match, but two reigns as Tag Team Champions does not happen without a well of resourcefulness. Knowing that isolating one opponent from his partner would be the key in this match, the champions did all they could to keep Chase and Huck as far away from each other as possible, but this strategy only lasted so long before they lost control of the match. Seeing his partners now in dire straits, Jose Acosta ran into the ring with a kendo stick and began an assault on Chase and Huck, forcing the referee to disqualify the champions, but hot on Jose’s heels was none other than the six foot five inch, two hundred and seventy pound beast from Pro Wrestling NOAH and Iniestra’s upcoming opponent, Jay Bradley, who quickly gained control of the situation, forcibly removed the kendo stick from Jose’s possession and, in a display of raw power, smashed it into several pieces while Jose and the champions evacuated to a safe distance, in awe of what they had just witnessed.

SINGLES MATCH
JAY BRADLEY DEF. “EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

Having seen the brute strength of Jay Bradley firsthand, Iniestra was, understandably, in no hurry to get into the ring for their scheduled match, but once he finally did, Jay proceeded to run roughshod over “El Unico” and every attempt Iniestra made to regain control of the match only seemed to anger his opponent, causing Iniestra to suffer even more punishment until the match was broken up by Jose and Sem in an attempt to save their partner, but Chase Gosling was having none of it and ran in to help even the odds and, while Jose and Iniestra were able to get out of the ring, Sem found himself in the ring with Chase and Jay and was used as a projectile, being launched over the top rope and onto his partners below. Unwilling to endure any more, Sem, Iniestra, and Jose quickly left the ringside area while Chase and Jay remained. Has a newfound respect been forged between these two previously bitter rivals?

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
“THE SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE” MATT VINE (C) DEF. ANAKIN BY WAY OF SUBMISSION

There is an old saying that goes, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight that counts. It’s the size of the fight in the dog.” Perhaps no one has come to exemplify that saying in PPW more than the young hotshot, Anakin, who found himself back in the main event spotlight with an opportunity to seize PPW’s brass ring and become the PPW World Heavyweight Champion. His opponent, the five-time champion and self-proclaimed “Symbol of Excellence,” Matt Vine, seemed to view his young challenger as a mere pest, however, and was overflowing with confidence going into the match until Anakin unleashed a surprising offense against the champion, forcing Matt to rethink his strategy. No matter what was thrown at him, Anakin kept fighting back and regaining the momentum, but during an attempted high risk offense, Anakin landed hard on the canvas, causing an injury to his knee. Seeing his opponent wounded and vulnerable, Matt took full advantage, targeting the injured knee and getting all he could out of it before locking in a figure four submission and, thanks to some added leverage from the ring ropes, Matt forced his challenger to tap out, retaining his championship and continuing his record-setting fifth reign. However, after Matt have left the ringside area, Premier COO Randy Ricci came to the ring to assess the situation. When he got the nod from Anakin that the damage to his knee was only superficial, Randy announced that Anakin would be granted another match for the championship at #PPW234. That is not all though. At the top of the evening, a groundbreaking announcement was made that will forever alter the championship landscape in Premier Pro Wrestling, because, beginning at #PPW234, all championship matches will be contested under two-out-of-three falls rules! With this new permanent stipulation in place, will Matt Vine be able to continue to reign over PPW or will this finally be Anakin’s moment to achieve his dream of becoming World Heavyweight Champion?
