– SINGLES MATCH –
LA MAGIA MASCARA DEF. ZERO 1
After an impressive debut last week, La Magia Mascara sought to keep the momentum rolling when he squared off against Zero 1, but first “The Magic Mask,” as his name translates into English, wowed the Premier Planet with another impressive illusion, putting four members of the PPW roster, including his opponent, into a trance and levitating all four in the middle of the ring before snapping them out of it to begin the matchup. From the early going, Zero 1 fought with great tenacity and it appeared on several occasions that he would hand Mascara his first loss, but it was not to be. Mascara was able to put his opponent away with a quick rolling pin to pick up another win inside the Premier Studio.
– WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT MATCH –
ZERO 2 & INIESTRA DEF. “THE URBAN REBELLION” CUTTA CROSBY & “THE INCREDIBLE” ATLAS J. HORN
Things have been interesting, to say the least, in recent weeks as we seek to crown brand new World Tag Team Champions. Tonight was no different. After suffering two defeats in the tournament but not having been the one to lose either fall, Woodstock’s own Iniestra was forced to draw a new partner and drew Zero 2 while “The Urban Rebellion” Cutta Crosby had the less than enviable task of teaming with the 350 pound “Incredible” Atlas J. Horn who picked up a win over Cutta just one week ago. Iniestra and Zero 2 controlled the early going until Cutta was able to ground Zero 2 long enough for Atlas to tag himself in much to the displeasure of Cutta who was just starting to build steam. Tags between both teams were exchanged on several occasions and, before long, all four competitors found themselves in the ring. It was then that Atlas decided to make an example of Cutta, hitting his own partner with a devastating slam which allowed Zero 2 to pick up the win for he and Iniestra and, in doing so, eliminated Cutta from the tournament! Feeling the sting of the events that transpired, Cutta grabbed a mic and demanded a match against Atlas at our April 16th studio taping which was approved by the Premier hierarchy.
– SINGLES MATCH –
CHASE GOSLING VS. INIESTRA (DOUBLE COUNT OUT)
Just as Iniestra was about to hit the showers, Chase Gosling emerged and announced that he had been granted a match with Woodstock’s favorite son right then and there! Taking advantage of the fact that his opponent had just finished competing, Chase controlled the pace of the match for its majority. However, as he’s done so many times in the past, he underestimated Iniestra who came back with a fury and the action quickly spilled out onto the floor. Unfortunately, neither competitor could answer the referee’s ten count and the match was ruled a double count out.
– SINGLES MATCH –
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON DEF. “THE SCIENCE” MARCUS SMITH
Despite having picked up two wins thus far in the World Tag Team Championship tournament, “The Science” Marcus Smith and “Irish” Andy Anderson needed to blow off steam in an effort to get on the same page and locked horns in the ring tonight. One week ago, Marcus told the Premier Planet that he would take Andy to “obedience school” and, thanks to some underhanded tactics, looked like he might succeed on several occasions. However, Andy was able to put Marcus away with a well-executed northern lights suplex to pick up a win over his tag team partner. Hopefully now that some aggression has been vented, the two can refocus their attention off of each other and back onto becoming the new PPW World Tag Team Champions.
– PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP 2-OUT-OF-3 FALLS MATCH –
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE VS. “THE HUMAN VIDEO GAME” SCOTT COLTON (C) (NO CONTEST DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE)
After the events of last week, it was decided that all three competitors would face off again, this time with a special 2-out-of-4 falls stipulation added. However, as he was supposed to make his entrance, Ronny Metro emerged from the back with his arm in a sling and announced that, due to suffering a separated shoulder in last week’s main event, he will be out of action for the next six weeks, leaving Matt Vine and Scott Colton to contend with one another for the title, changing the stipulation from 2-out-of-4 falls to 2-out-of-3 falls. Itching to finally claim the title that has eluded him for over two years, Vine picked up the first fall with a schoolboy roll up, but Colton answered with a backslide, tying the score at one fall a piece and making the match either man’s game. Perhaps it was desperation which lead Vine to resort back to some of his old dirty tricks after seemingly having turned over a new leaf, but the champ would not be denied and it seemed he was poised to put Vine away when Vine caused Colton to crash into the canvas and attempted a pin after a failed high risk maneuver. Just as it seemed we might have a new champion, Chase Gosling once again made his presence known when he entered the ring and broke up the pin, forcing the referee to throw the match out. Seeing this from the back, Premier CEO Randy Ricci came to ringside and announced that, since the fans had been promised a triple threat match, next week Ronny Metro will be replaced by Chase Gosling and he will lock up with Matt Vine and Scott Colton in a first-to-two triple threat match!
