– SINGLES MATCH – ANAKIN DEF. ZERO 1 BY WAY OF PIN FALL
One of, if not the fastest rising star in Premier Pro Wrestling, Anakin, opened the evening’s festivities with quite a challenge ahead of him as he faced the crafty and sneaky Zero 1. Many thought Zero 1 might have Anakin’s number, employing several tricks to gain the advantage, including a deliberate low blow as the referee was distracted, but Anakin pulled a rabbit out of his hat, rolling up Zero 1 after dodging an attempted corner attack and seizing the win by way of pin fall.
– #1 CONTENDERS MATCH – “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING DEF. “IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON BY WAY OF PIN FALL
After surprising both the Premier Planet and his opponent, Ronny Metro, one week prior by beating Ronny then revealing his true identity from under the mask of Ulysses S. Adams, Chase Gosling thought he had earned his seat as number one contender to the PPW World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately, since U.S.A. was the legitimate participant in the match and not Chase, Chase was not awarded the title shot. He was, however, granted a number one contenders match against his former Dirty Boys Club running buddy, Andy Anderson. Having been around each other so much in the past, the match went nearly half an hour with each man trading the edge numerous times in unsuccessful attempts to put the other down, but that was until Chase got Andy in prime position for a running knee which found its mark, ringing Andy’s bell and allowing Chase to pick up the win and become the legitimate number one contender.
– SINGLES MATCH – “SHREDDING” CONNOR CORR DEF. SKYE BLUE BY WAY OF PIN FALL
The rivalry between Connor and Skye has reached fever pitch, especially after Skye’s successful defeat of Connor one week prior which Connor answered with an attack after the bell. Because of Connor’s actions, a rematch was signed and Skye couldn’t wait to get her hands on Connor to get payback for the assault. Proud of himself, Connor was all confidence as he entered the Premier Studio with his trusty guitar in hand. Skye fought the good fight, but in the end Connor was able to roll her up in a small package after raking her eyes. Skye wasn’t about to let the injustice stand, however, as she chased Connor out of the ring, sending him limping back to the locker room.
– PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE (C) DEF. INIESTRA BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION
When the champ’s temper got the better of him one week prior and he sent Iniestra head first into the steel ring post, Matt Vine lost via disqualification but held on to the PPW World Championship. Due to the circumstances surrounded the end of that encounter, Iniestra was awarded a rematch and another chance to wrestle for the title. What was supposed to be a traditional match quickly became even more interesting when, after introduction of the participants, Ronny “Veronica” Metro came through the entryway and announced that he would be “scouting” from ringside. With Ronny looking on, Matt and Iniestra tried to settle their scores against each other, each gaining near fall after near fall with no payoff. As Iniestra went in for a pin, Ronny decided he was no longer content being a spectator, ascended the top rope, and set his sights on both participants, but at the last possible moment, Iniestra rolled out of the way, causing Ronny to splash Matt and the referee to call for the bell, awarding the match to Matt via disqualification. A beatdown then ensued which then included Andy Anderson into the mix and, after clearing Iniestra from the ring, he and Ronny began an assault on Matt which lasted until Chase Gosling ran in for the save, causing Andy and Ronny to head for the hills.
– TAG TEAM MATCH – “IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON & RONNY “VERONICA” METRO DEF. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING & PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION “THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION
With a scheduled tag team match already on the card and Matt and Chase already in the ring, it was decided that no time be wasted and the match was ordered to commence immediately. It was no surprise that Ronny and Andy utilized their dirty tricks throughout the match to gain the edge over their opponents. Having his fill of these tactics, Chase took a chair from the stage and, in full view of the referee, hit Ronny in the spine with it, leading to a disqualification victory for the Dirty Boys, but their parade was promptly rained on when it was announced that Andy and Ronny will face each other in a number one contenders match at PPW #170. When Andy and Ronny left to lick their wounds, Chase asked for a mic and issued a stern warning to Matt and reminded him that the two will face at PPW #170 with the World Title on the line.
