SINGLES MATCH
BRYCE AKERS DEF. “CONNEST” CONNOR CORR BY WAY OF PIN FALL

Having been dealt a defeat in tag team action at #PPW221, the self-proclaimed sportsman and feminist, Connor Corr, demanded a one-on-one match against one of the individuals responsible, PPW newcomer Bryce Akers. Thinking he would make an example of Bryce now that Bryce’s tag team partner from the week prior, Skye Blue, would not be there to back him up, Connor severely underestimated his competitions Bryce unleashed a barrage of offense which Connor had difficulty overcoming and, when Connor let his guard down for just a moment, Bryce seized the moment and rolled Connor up with a small package for the win, making Connor and his camp 0-2 against the talented newcomer.

SPECIAL ATTRACTION TAG TEAM MATCH
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON & “THE LOVE MACHINE” MATT LONGTIME DEF. “THE SCIENCE” MARCUS SMITH & KIM CHEE BY WAY OF PIN FALL

There is no denying that one of the most bitter rivalries in PPW is the one that has existed between “The Science” Marcus Smith and “Irish” Andy Anderson for a number of years, but when Marcus brought Kim Chee in to help him deal with Andy, Andy brought a partner of his own in the form of Chicago wrestling veteran, “The Love Machine” Matt Longtime and together Andy and Matt wasted no time in humiliating Marcus in front of the Premier Planet, turning the self-proclaimed comedian into the butt of the joke until Marcus finally reached his partner and tagged in Kim Chee and together they turned the tables on Andy and Matt, but their advantage was short-lived. As Marcus and Kim went in for the final blow in the form of a double Earthquake splash, Andy and Matt gave the two a not-so-friendly thumbs up which opened the window long enough for Andy and Matt to each roll up an opponent with a schoolboy to win the match by way of pin fall and as Marcus and Kim headed for the locker room to nurse their backsides, Andy and Matt got down with the Premier Planet at ringside to celebrate their victory.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
ZERO 4 DEF. SKYE BLUE & ZERO 3 BY WAY OF COUNT OUT

With Halloween just a few days away, Skye Blue faced some scary odds when she was placed in a triple threat match against two members of Connor Corr’s camp, Zero 2 & Zero 4, but the Premier Planet’s favorite little devil did not see the match as being one-sided, but rather as an opportunity to get her hands on not one, but two Zeroes at the same time. At the onset, the Zeroes worked together to try and do away with Skye, but with only one participant able to claim victory, the Zeroes soon turned on each other, much to the chagrin of Connor who was looking on from ringside. Skye exploited this rift between Zero 2 and Zero 4 to regain the edge, but every time she would go in for a pin on one, the other was right there to break it up. When both Zeroes found themselves on the floor outside the ring with Connor, Skye took to the air and delivered a flying cross body to all three, but the offense would prove to be her undoing. As the referee began the ten count, Skye repeatedly tried to get back into the ring, only to be pulled off the apron by Connor and the Zeroes. At the last possible second, Zero 4 was able to roll in under the bottom rope as the referee reached the count of ten, making him the victor in the match and leaving Skye feeling robbed, but because of the circumstances, Skye has been granted a rematch against the Zeroes this Saturday at #PPW223, only this time there will be no count outs. The only way to win will be by way of pin fall, submission, or by being the first person to throw an opponent over the top rope and to better ensure fair play, Connor Corr has been banned from ringside. Will the Zeroes band together to deliver another loss to Skye Blue or will their individual quests for victory be their undoing? We’ll find out this Saturday night.

PPW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
ANAKIN & JOSE ACOSTA (C) DEF. “EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI BY WAY OF PIN FALL TO RETAIN

When Anakin and Jose Acosta won the Premier Pro Wrestling World Tag Team Championships at #PPW221 amid a controversial double pin, former champs, Iniestra and Sem Sei, invoked their rematch clause as soon as possible and were granted the opportunity to regain their titles at #PPW222. While they blamed their loss on racism, Iniestra and Sem learned quickly that Anakin and Jose were not about to let their newly won championships go without putting up one intense fight. As the match wore on, both sides searched for any offense they could muster to try and gain the extra ounce of momentum needed to best the other team, but in doing so all four men found themselves in the ring at the same time, leading to confusion over who the legal men in the match were and, once again, the skirmish led to a double pin with Jose covering Sem and Iniestra covering Anakin, but after the three count and a few moments of suspense, it would be Anakin and Jose’s hands raised as it had been Jose and Sem who were legal when the pin was counted, leading to a successful title defense in their first match as champions. However, Iniestra and Sem were unwilling to accept the decision with Iniestra claiming that he, not Jose, had been legal and that he and Sem were the rightful champions. Hearing this, Premier COO, Randy Ricci, in order to avoid a week of complaint calls, tweets, and text messages from the former champions, stated that he would grant Iniestra and Sem’s request and they have been given another chance to regain the Tag Team Championships this Saturday at #PPW223.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE VS. “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING (C) THROWN OUT DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE

After two straight weeks of victories by way of disqualification, four-time PPW Champion, Matt Vine, was confident that he was firmly inside the head of the champion, Chase Gosling, and looked to exploit the perceived advantage to regain the title for a record fifth time, but as the two went to war in the ring, the battle was broken up by Jay Bradley who, earlier in the week, had left an ominous message that he would be coming to #PPW222, but left his intentions a mystery. Having no choice, the referee threw the match out as Jay Bradley cleared the ring of all who entered to try and subdue him. That was when young Anakin entered the ring to try his hand against Jay, but he wound up putting himself in an incredibly dangerous situation when Jay, now with a chain around Anakin’s neck, used him as a hostage and demanded that he be entered into a triple threat against Matt and Chase immediately. With Anakin’s well-being in the balance, the referee agreed. Now having what he wanted, Jay released Anakin and the triple threat began.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. JAY BRADLEY & “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING (C) TO BECOME THE NEW CHAMPION

Having forced his way into the main event, Jay Bradley proved to be a dominating force against both Matt Vine and Chase Gosling, but with the championship hanging in the balance and a long history of bad blood between the three, Matt and Chase continued to fight no matter how much punishment they took from their bigger and more powerful opponent and when Jay tried to coax the two into fighting each other while he looked on, Matt and Chase showed a now rare moment of cooperation as they took the fight to Jay, but Chase soon found himself outside the ring on the floor, leaving Jay and Matt together in the ring. As the referee checked on Chase on the outside, Matt snuck up behind Jay and delivered a low blow, bringing the monster down and giving Matt the leverage he needed to cover him just as the referee’s attention came back to the match in the ring. With Chase worse for wear outside the ring, there was no one to break up the count and, within three seconds, Chase’s title reign ended as Matt Vine claimed a record setting fifth reign as PPW World Heavyweight Champion, besting not only his former partner, Chase Gosling, but also a bitter rival in Jay Bradley, but as Matt celebrated, Chase got on the mic and demanded he be able to invoke his rematch clause at #PPW223, citing that Matt had pinned Jay Bradley and not him which meant that, while Matt had won the title, he had not proven he could go through Chase to do it.

With the proverbial shoe now on the other foot, Chase Gosling walks into #PPW223 this Saturday in the challenger’s corner when he tries to regain the PPW World Heavyweight Championship from the man who betrayed him several weeks ago, the now five-time PPW Champion, Matt Vine. Also, Anakin and Jose Acosta try to prove once and for all that their victories over former champions, Iniestra and Sem Sei, were anything but a fluke when they defend the PPW World Tag Team Championships and can Skye Blue overcome not one, but two of Connor Corr’s Zeroes now that Connor has been barred from ringside and count outs taken out of the equation?
