#1 CONTENDERS BATTLE ROYAL
JOSE ACOSTA WINS BY LAST ELIMINATING “EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI

With no legitimate #1 contender, the next challenger for the PPW World Heavyweight Championship would be decided through a nine-man over-the-top-rope battle royal. Iniestra, Sem Sei, Connor Corr, Bryce Akers, Zero 2, Andy Anderson, Jose Acosta, Anakin, and Chase Gosling were all given the opportunity to prove themselves, but in the end it would be PPW World Tag Team Champion, Jose Acosta, who proved he was the most worthy when an attempted double team by his rivals, Iniestra and Sem Sei, was turned on them and Jose sent both over the top rope to win the battle royal and earn his place in the main event to challenge for the title.

SINGLES MATCH
BRYCE AKERS DEF. ZERO 3 BY WAY OF PIN FALL

With his stock rising quickly in Premier Pro Wrestling, Premier Academy standout, Bryce Akers, was given another opportunity to shine against Zero 3 and prove himself Bryce did when he was able to avoid a charge in the corner by Zero 3 and execute a sunset flip to roll Zero 3 up for the pin, adding another hard-fought victory to his already impressive resume.

SINGLES MATCH
“CONNEST” CONNOR CORR DEF. SKYE BLUE BY WAY OF COUNT OUT

With her victory over Zeroes 2 & 4 one week ago in a triple threat match, Skye Blue earned a match against the proverbial thorn in her side, the self-proclaimed “feminist” and “sportsman,” “Connest” Connor Corr, but in a near repeat of two weeks prior at #PPW221 when he cost Skye her match against the Zeroes, as Skye tried to get back into the ring after the two had spilled out onto the floor, Connor pulled her down from the apron and rolled under the bottom rope just as the referee reached the count of ten, bringing Connor the victory by way of count out.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
“THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING DEF. “EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI BY WAY OF REVERSED DECISION

After coming up short and failing to regain the PPW World Heavyweight Championship at #PPW222, Chase Gosling refocused his gaze on two long-time rivals in Iniestra and Sem Sei, but what was officially a triple threat match resembled more of a handicap match as the former Tag Team Champions worked together to put a beating on Chase, but having the PPW Championship slip from his grasp has only seemed to light a fire under Chase who fought back and continually averted their offense, putting Iniestra and Sem in dire straits until an opportunity presented itself. As Chase attempted to roll both of his opponents up, Iniestra and Sem sat down across Chase’s shoulders and held onto the ropes while the referee was distracted counting Chase’s shoulders down and stole a pin fall victory from the former champion. However, having been watching on the monitor in the locker room, “Irish” Andy Anderson came to the ring and told the referee that he had seen Iniestra and Sem use the ropes. Having an eyewitness statement , the referee reversed the decision and instead awarded the match to Chase.

TAG TEAM MATCH
“EL MERO MERO” INIESTRA & SEM SEI VS. THE DIRTY BOYS CLUB (“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON & “THE HUNK WITH THE TREE TRUNKS” CHASE GOSLING) THROWN OUT

Despite winning the triple threat, Chase was not satisfied with the manner in which his victory came. Disgusted with Iniestra and Sem’s attempt to cheat, Chase laid down a challenge to the two for a tag team match against him and Andy, reuniting the Dirty Boys Club for one night only. Now unable to use a numbers advantage, Iniestra and Sem pulled just about everything they could out of their playbook to try and subdue Andy and Chase, but the Dirty Boys kept fighting back. However, bitterness and pride took control of the match and all four eventually found themselves in the ring, leading to the match breaking down into chaos and leaving the referee no choice but to throw the match out, having lost control of the situation.

SINGLES MATCH
JAY BRADLEY DEF. ANAKIN BY WAY OF JOSE ACOSTA THROWING IN THE TOWEL

When Jay Bradley not only threatened Anakin’s young career, but did it in front of Anakin’s family two weeks prior, he made the situation between the two extremely personal. Many thought Anakin’s mindset was clouded when he challenged Jay to a one-on-one match, but Anakin was out to prove that he would not be bullied and would not keep his distance as his family was insulted by the 6’5” 270lb monster from Pro Wrestling NOAH. Despite giving up a foot of height and over a hundred pounds of weight in the match, Anakin fought with the heart of a lion, even taking Jay off his feet on more than one occasion, but when Jay applied an armbar submission in the middle of the ring, Anakin was left in a desperate situation. Seeing events transpire from the back, Anakin’s partner and Co-Tag Team Champion, Jose Acosta, came to the ring carrying a white towel and, after a few moments of struggling with what to do, Jose threw the towel into the ring, ending the match, giving Jay the win, and saving Anakin from a possible career-threatening injury.

PPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
JOSE ACOSTA DEF. “THE SYMBOL OF EXCELLENCE” MATT VINE (C) BY WAY OF DISQUALIFICATION

Having earned his opportunity in the battle royal earlier in the evening, Tag Team Champion Jose Acosta turned his focus on adding another strap of gold to his collection by becoming PPW World Heavyweight Champion, but standing in his way was the only five-time PPW Champion in company history, the self-proclaimed “Symbol of Excellence,” Matt Vine. Self-confident — some might even say cocky — as ever, Matt Vine thought he was in for an easy night against his less experienced opponent, but Jose gave the champ a run for his money and seemed poised to unseat the champion, until Iniestra and Sem Sei stormed the ring and began a beatdown on Jose, forcing the referee to call for the bell and end the match. Not far behind Iniestra and Sem, however, were Jose’s tag team partner, Anakin, and Chase Gosling, who helped Jose rid the ring of Iniestra, Sem, and Matt who, despite losing the match by way of disqualification, retained the PPW Championship. Sick and tired of Iniestra, Sem, and Matt’s antics, Premier COO, Randy Ricci, came to ringside and announced that in one week at #PPW225 there will be a six-man tag team match! It will be the team of Iniestra, Sem Sei, and the PPW World Heavyweight Champion, Matt Vine, taking on the team of the PPW World Tag Team Champions, Jose Acosta and Anakin, and Chase Gosling!
