January 23rd in Woodstock, IL
Justin Barlow brings you full match results from last night’s Premier Pro Wrestling LIVE studio taping in Woodstock, IL.
INIESTRA DEF. “THE SCIENCE” MARCUS SMITH
After the Premier Planet refused to laugh at his jokes last week, Marcus Smith decided he would try to teach everyone a lesson in “humor” by beating Woodstock’s own Iniestra, but despite every filthy tactic he could muster, “The Science” fell victim to a well-executed roll-up which gave the win and many might say the last laugh to Iniestra.
“THE WORLD EXCLUSIVE” MATT VINE DEF. ZERO 2
Despite a valiant effort on the part of the ninja from Okinawa, Zero 2, Matt Vine was able to put away his opponent in his trademark swinging neck breaker for the 1, 2, 3.
“IRISH” ANDY ANDERSON DEF. ZERO 1
Despite a plethora of martial arts expertise, Zero 1 was unable to overcome the experience and unorthodox style of the wily veteran, Andy Anderson, who was able to put the ninja away with a splash off of the second rope.
“THE URBAN REBELLION” CUTTA CROSBY DEF. ZERO 3
Seeming to be multiplying like rabbits, our January 23rd studio taping saw the debut of yet another masked competitor from the Orient, Zero 3, who squared off against “The Urban Rebellion” Cutta Crosby. Determined to make a statement in his first match at PPW, Zero 3 brought a fast-paced fight to Cutta, but the experience of Cutta gave him the decisive edge and he was able to crush Zero 3’s hopes of a triumphant debut with a Cutt-Throat Thrilla neck breaker.
CHASE GOSLING VS. “THE HUMAN VIDEO GAME” SCOTT COLTON ENDED IN A NO CONTEST DUE TO OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE
After losing half of his prized mustache at our January 16th taping and a week of working through the five stages of grief, Chase Gosling returned to the Premier Studio with not only a renewed sense of vigor, but also with a new mustache that appeared to be right out of Super Mario (and we’re not just saying that because his opponent is known as “The Human Video Game”). The rivalry has been boiling over for months and both men were anxious to score a win over the other. During the match, Scott Colton was able to remove Chase’s new mustache which was apparently held on with some sort of adhesive, much to the delight of the crowd and the horror of Chase. Enraged by this display, Chase soon found himself in control and attempted to end Colton with a Mustache Ride Powerbomb, but Colton was able to reverse it into a hurricarana and into a pinning predicament. As the referee was about to count to three, however, Matt Vine charged into the ring and broke up the pin and he was quickly followed by Andy Anderson and several other members of the PPW roster. This lead to the referee throwing the match out and pandemonium ensued until Premier CEO Randy Ricci came to ringside to break up the chaos.
